Scott & Cassie Donnellan

Scott & CassieIt’s been my privilege to have served as minister of our church since 1997, in partnership with Cassie.

I grew up in a non-Christian family. In 1979, I met a man who spoke to me about God. I didn’t need too much convincing that the world, and my life wasn’t the way God intended it to be. It was stunning to hear that God’s Son Jesus had died to pay for all my sin, and that forgiveness was now on offer. It was an offer I couldn’t refuse.

Cassie became a Christian during her teenage years growing up in Kuala Lumpur. For her, it started with a fascination about a curious Western festival called Christmas. Her curiosity led to some unexpected answers about a God who loves us so much that He sent His Son into our world. The message of forgiveness and peace with God was compelling. Cassie came to Australia as an overseas student in 1983 to study fashion technology and commercial needlecraft.

My formative years as a Christian were spent at St Matthias Church, Centennial Park, and Unichurch at the University of NSW, where I was involved in an overseas student ministry called FOCUS.  I trained for ministry at Moore College and the Presbyterian Theological Centre in Sydney.  Since college we have served in the Sutherland and Inverell Presbyterian Churches.

Cassie and I  have two children, Andrew (16) and Elissa (13). Our passion is to share the gospel, teach the Bible, and help others to honour God in their lives.
